And so it begins.....

Here is the intro to our essay.

_____________
Since the invention of the personal computer, humanity has been
obsessed with virtual evolution, to the point where we now spend most
our lives sitting in front of the screen, whether it be for work or
play. Has this increased intimacy with the virtual world been
reflected in the hardware we use? Should it be so? This essay will
discuss if there is a need for hardware intimacy and if a greater
intimacy with physical objects will help to make us more virtually
intimate?

However before we get started we need to define some of the terms
that will be used in this essay. When we state that something is
intimate, we refer to it having an intuitive yet personal logical
experience. Another term we need to understand is interface; this is
broken up into two sub terms of hardware interface and software
interface. These two have to intertwine so that when an action
physically occurs in the hardware interface, an action simultaneously
occurs virtually in the software interface, and this is how we
experience the virtual world.
